About Mountain Ridge Ballroom

Mountain Ridge Ballroom Dance Company is a competitive and performing ballroom team. We will be focusing on learning syllabus routines, competitive routines and group routines to perform at the school.

Ballroom Dance Company will perform at assemblies, Winter Dance Concert, Jordan School District Concert, UBEA competition, and Ballroom Dance Company Concert. Ballroom Dance Company will practice during 1st or 5th period with practices starting at 7:00am. Practices are required to be present at. About the Coach

Missy Orton has been teaching dance for over 13 years. She graduated from Utah Valley University with two bachelors degrees; first in Ballet Performance and second in Dance Education. While she was at UVU she performed on both the modern and ballet companies as well as took several ballroom classes. Mrs. Orton has been teaching high school for over 8 years at in the Herriman area where she has coached the Herriman Dance Company and taught dance classes as well as ballroom 1 2 and 3. She has choreographed countless ballroom dances and had the opportunity to choreograph on Herriman and Stansbury Park Ballroom Teams. She has loved teaching ballroom for the past 10 years and is excited to be in charge of the Mountain Ridge Ballroom Team!
